Im
Strasuberg has about 27,000 inhabitants and is located 40 km east of
Berlin. It is surrounded by the Landschaftsschutzgebiet "Strausberger
Blumenthaler Wald- und Seengebiet".
South, west and north of the city are attractive recreation facilities,
such as the Natureresort Märkische Schweiz.
One can reach Strausberg from the Freeway (Autobahn) A 10
(Eastern Berliner Ring) Berlin-Hellersdorf and Berlin-Marzahn by very

The city is connected to Berlin and Küstrin (Poland) by its main train
station as well as the Berliner S-Bahn S5. So Berlin Charlottenburg
may be reached in about 75 minutes.
